Don't be Hungover for The Hangover Part II
May 24, 2011
The Hangover Part II is coming out this Thursday, May 26! I don't know about everyone else, but I am over-excited! There is just one problem that might keep the movie from releasing on time... Mike Tyson's tattoo.

Seen in the previews, the character Stew (Ed Helms) wakes up in Thailand with a Tyson-like tattoo around his face. S Victor Whitmill, the artist who tattooed the design on Tyson's face, is now claiming copyright for the art. Whitmill wants an injunction halting the release of The Hangover Part II. Fortunately, Warner Bros, who is taking Whitmill's case, seems to have everything under control.
Warner Bros is arguing that tattoos can not be copyrighted because there is nothing in the Copyright Act that gives someone the legal right to control the use of a tattoo on someone's face. Whitmill also had no issues when the tattoo appeared in the first Hangover movie on Tyson's face.
Judge Catherine D. Perry is supposed to make the decision to grant or not grant an injunction this morning. So, cross your fingers in hopes that she makes the right decision.
