How to Cure a New Year Hangover

We all know what happens on New Year's Day, right? It's a day filled with hangovers! Yippee!

If you have plans this New Year's Day, but you still want to party hard the night before, you are going to need to hangover cures! Or you can sacrifice your alcohol intake on New Year's Eve...

If it were up to me, I would want to have as much fun as possible both days! So go with these tips on how to cure a New Year Hangover!

1) Sleep

The most simple and obvious cure for a hangover is sleep! Rest is your best friend the morning after a rough night!

If you can stay in bed until you feel better, that would be ideal. Sometimes that is not the case, so just try to sleep in as late as you can, and take a nap a little later on!

2) Drink

Now, don't get too excited! Getting drunk again won't help in the long run, but there are a few beverages out there that can help ease your pain!

You will be very dehydrated from a night filled with alcohol, so make sure to drink loads of water! Other helpful beverages include orange juice, sports drink like Powerade, or a Bloody Mary! The tomato juice and celery in a Bloody Mary are full of vitamins, and your blood will ignore the old alcohol when dealing with the new, which will help your hangover!

3) Eat

Many people believe eating greasy foods will help cure a hangover. That may work for some, but for others it just leaves your stomach in an even worse state!

Eat mineral rich food like canned fish or pickles. Getting healthy nutrients in your body will help it fight off this "sickness".

4) Exercise

The last thing you are going to want to do when you have a pounding headache and feelings of nausea is exercise! If you can drag yourself out of bed, this cure will be worth it.

While you should be exercising a few days a week, sweating will get some of the alcohol out of your body. This is a good way to get your mind off of feeling sick, and you'll be shedding pounds and alcohol!

5) Shower

Showering is another thing you won't feel like doing. Turn the water on, and once you get in, keep switching the water from hot to cold.

The water from your shower will also help get the alcohol out of your blood stream. Not only will the hot and cold water take your mind off your pain, but now you won't smell like alcohol the rest of the day!

These tips may seem obvious, but are you using them? You make just feel like doing absolutely nothing when you have a hangover, but unless you're sleeping, you are actually making your hangover last longer! Take these tips into consideration this New Year! You don't need to give up a night of partying to feel fine the next day!
