we used them for a disco themed party as centerpieces and decoration.
Had a great look. Sometimes they didn't work unless shaken.

I loved these. They were terrific. We used them for a Star Wars themed birthday party and they were perfect. I placed them on the food tables. Our party was in the day time so they didn't show up as well as if it were night but they were still great. You can change the colors by pushing a button on the bottom. I bought four and one of them seemed to have some sort of short in it so, buy a spare. You had to push in the bottom where the battery was for it to work after an hour or so. I wish I had bought more because they were great. These would be great for a night event. They still show up nicely enough to use them in the daytime but only inside.

I purchased these as centerpieces for my husbands bday party at an asian resturant. Everyone loved them, I purchased 8. 2 did not work. [...]. They are very attractive and look like they cost more that they do. I would buy them again.

We ordered 50 as table centerpiece decorations for 45 tables and as it turned out we had 8 units that did not work at all. They are made very flimsy so that when you insert the batteries you have to be careful not to break anything. The items that worked were great.

These actually were pretty cool for the amount paid. They have a few different settings: solid colors (red, green, blue, purple), and then they have tri-color settings, and finally a rainbow effect, where it swirls through all the colors continuously. Didn't expect all that out of these, but it was nice to set them to a specific color or have the other options too.

I used these for my 70's themed party with a 12 inch old record as the surrounding base. With the lights dimmed it added just the right light and flare.

it was great as a centerpiece/party favor for a sweet 15. I took one home, it was great for a stand in for a lamp. Not to bright but great as a night light.

We used these at our daughter's sweet sixteen party. Although poorly made, they worked to provide the effect we wanted with a black light theme. The fiber optic lights are pretty but don't fan out as well as we would have liked. We purchased 20 of them and all of the ones we used did work - no duds. You get what you pay for.

I used these to decorate tables during our Outer Space / Alien theme Book Fair. The students really enjoyed them. I just wish the light was brighter and could enjoy them more when lights were turned on in the room.

We used these to decorate a soda bar for a fundraiser. They were just okay, added a little extra decor, but not bright enough and the color changing was super slow.

We bought these for a fun effect to our end of year Science Club awards banquet. Once lit, the centerpieces were nice but the design was so cheap that we actually had to put the batteries in crooked to make them work. In some cases, this prevented the centerpiece from standing straight. It worked OK for what we needed but I'd probably think twice before purchasing them again.

WE USED THE LIGHTS TO ADD PAZAZZ TO THE NEW YEARS EVE PARTY.
I COULD ONLY GET 70% OF THEM TO WORK CONSISTANTLY. HOWEVER, I DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND SO I WOULD STILL BUY THEM AGAIN.

Some of them were very touchy when trying to turn out and place batteries in them. The ones that worked were great!

I ordered 8 for my ssons neon light party and 3 out of 5 were broken. I unscrewed to find out why and the 3 wires inside were never connected or sautered on and they could not be fixed. to much to send back to get money back because shipping and handling was on me.Would not recommend and this was first time ordering from this company.they did have neat products but this was one if all of them would have worked.

The fibers to not splay out in the pattern shown in the picture. The strands stick up straight so it is not as pretty as appears in in pics. The fiber optic strands are not completely covered in color; only parts of it are lighted up. It was a bit of a let down, but it does switch easily to all the different colors, and the multi-changing color mode is nice.

The item did not work properly. It would not stay lit. The lights came on and did one cycle of color changes and then went off. The actual on/off bottom did not work. The lights came on as soon as the batteries were put in and then did one cycle of fifteen seconds of lights and then went off. I has to take out a battery and put it back in to get the thing to repeat the cycle and then it would go off again. Very frustrating and then it was useless at the party. Windy City novelties return policy sucked as it said I would have to pay to return the broken piece and they would only exchange it if they deemed it broken. The party was already over so I didn't need a new one, I just want my money back. The light cost [$] and was small and flimsy and not worth the money already spent so I was not going to spend more money in shipping to get another one. Again, very frustrating!
