Changes on the new site are largely based on comments, suggestions and responses from actual customers on how Windy City could modify its site to improve their online shopping experience.

"We totally redeveloped our entire Web site in design, functionality and analytics," explains Ron Gilley, executive vice president of Windy City Novelties, Inc. "Last year, we launched a modified version of our original Web site and spent a year gathering feedback from our customers and analyzing technical data such as site searches, page views and abandonment data in order to redevelop www.windycitynovelties.com."

"The new site makes finding glow products, party supplies and custom banners more interactive and easier for our customers," adds Jeff Schrimmer, Vice President, New Market Development. "Based on what our customers told us, we've restructured our party supplies categories, improved our site’s search capabilities and added glow product, party supplies and custom banner recommendations. And, this is just phase one of our new site. We have many more new features, tools and products that will roll out in the coming months."

In addition to launching the new site, Windy City also is expanding its product lines in party décor, children's birthday parties, special occasions and craft activities in response to customer input.

"While the new Web site makes online ordering easier and more user-friendly for our customers, it's not a replacement for our commitment to providing the best personal customer service possible," explains Greg French, National Sales Manager.
